Oh how I appreciate and miss family!! We have had such a fabulous week with the Gifford Sr.'s It is so exciting to share what we have been up to the past 5 months. The kids are of course LOVING all the attention from 'grandma and bapa' and I love the small break I get here and there as well.
Ok, so the marathon of events started last Thursday. Wayne and Laura Lou arrived in the morning and immediately broke out fun stuff for the kids to play with...

Took them to their hotel in the city that afternoon - Laura Lou donned her wide brimmed hat, and Wayne looking like a regular Aussie in his. We slip, slop, slapped and away we went!
Later on, Devon joined us for dinner and then we walked around Darling Harbour and then took a ferry back to Milsons Point.

Busy first day! But these guys don't mess around, when they travel they mean business. First day complete, now onto Friday.
We started out taking a ferry to Circular Quay - just across the harbour from Kirribilli.

Had a nice picnic lunch in the Gardens and left the Gifford's to walk around a little more while the kids and I headed back for nap time.
A nice way to ease into their vacation in Sydney. Now onto the weekend, but that's for a whole separate post just to keep you in suspense.
To be continued...
I am so jealous, and now Katie, Colin and Lucas get to explore your "habitat" as well. Meanwhile, we are at home, preparing for record spring floods! Purgatory Creek will be very active! Not to worry. Poppops has it all under control!
