On Saturday the 29th of Jan, the Gifford clan set off 40 minutes south to visit an old high school acquaintance (now friend). What a fantastic family - Libby, Dale and their 3 beautiful boys. Libbie moved to Sydney 12 years ago, met her husband and has been here ever since. So happy to be able to come to Australia to visit her!
They graciously showed us around their part of town in Cronulla. We took a nice ferry ride to Jibbon Beach and spent the first part of the day playing in the sand and water.

Stone with the carvings |
After a fun day at the beach, we jumped back on the ferry for a BBQ dinner at the Brand's house. Finished the night off with a dance party complete with a little Justin Beiber and glow sticks. The kids had an absolute blast. We are planning on getting together one more time before we leave. Such great times had with great people. Thanks Libbie and Dale for a wonderful day!!
That last photo isn't carvings in stone. It's a photo of a weathered sign. I took that because I liked the texture. But who knows - perhaps some aboriginals made it!
ReplyDeleteOops, didn't know that! Well, it looked cool anyway. :)
